This is to inform the General Public that July 30 and 31, 2020 have been declared public holidays by the Federal Government of NIgeria, to celebrate Eid El Kabir. Consequently, ALL Offices of the Consulate will be closed on these days.

The Comptroller General of Nigeria Immigration Service, Muhammad Babandede, MFR regrets to inform the General Public that the roll out of the new 10 year enhanced E-Passport has been rescheduled to 29th April, 2019 to finalize the integration of the National Identity Number (NIN) with the new Passport.
Passsport Applicants should use the exact names on their passport on the online payment. Incomplete and abbreviated names will not be recognized upon enrollment and will render the payment invalid.
The Consulate will strictly adhere to the interview date on the payment confirmation slip. Applicants are required to come for interview on their interview date. The Consulate is closed on weekends and holidays. However, if your appointment date falls on a holiday, you may come the next working day.

Passport applicants are encouraged to have their passports reissued 6 months before expiration. Processing of passport takes 4 to 6 weeks. Applicants with urgent need to travel should consider applying for an Emergency Travel Certificate (ETC) or Visa.
With effect from January 3, 2019 this Consulate will no longer accept visa applications except for Diplomatic Passport holders. Please refer to the posting on the website for further information.
